APIs Mobilize's goal is to empower the next generation of leaders with the knowledge and skills to become effective change makers in the community.
The Mobilize Youth Leadership Program provides students with resources, skill-building exercises, and support networks. We help prepare students to graduate high school and become change agents in their communities.
Twenty-five Junior and Senior students from Los Angeles and Orange County High Schools will be invited to participate in a five-week summer youth leadership program. Our program consists of weekly seminars that help our participants to gain leadership skills and understand the democratic process. Students learn directly through conversations and lectures with community leaders, elected officials, academics, professionals, artists, legislative staffers, and other experts. Workshops throughout the program allow students to develop the confidence, discipline, and knowledge they need to navigate through high school and prepare for graduation and college. Our guest speakers serve as role models. Their success stories inspire students to move through their own path to success and become leaders in their communities. Mobilize students who participate in our cohort are eligible to apply for scholarships through our API Caucus Scholar award. |
