It is APIs Mobilize's goal is to empower our next generation of leaders with the knowledge and skills to become effective leaders in the community.
Our Mobilize Youth Leadership Program provides students with resources, skill-building exercises, and support networks. We help prepare students to graduate high school and become change agents in their communities.
Each year, twenty-five junior and senior students from Los Angeles and Orange counties schools will be chosen to participate in our five-week youth leadership program that will take place in July. Our summer program consists of weekly seminars to help our participants gain leadership skills and understand the democratic process through lectures by leaders of the community, educators, elected officials, high-level successful professionals, and artists.
The speakers serve as role models to students and the program workshops help students develop confidence, discipline, and skills they need to navigate through high school and prepare for graduation and college. The role models’ success stories inspire students to move through their own pathway to success and become leaders in their communities.
Mobilize students are eligible to apply for scholarships through our API Caucus Scholar Award.
