Admissions Criteria
The selection criteria will consist of the following:

The program welcomes students of all backgrounds. Consistent with our mission, our outreach focuses on students interested in learning about Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander history, communities, and leadership. If you are interested in learning how Asian American leaders have shaped today’s world and developing your leadership skills, we encourage you to apply.
- A desire to learn and grow as an individual
- An interest in public service and community involvement
- Current high school junior or senior (sophomore applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis)
- A completed application, including one of the following:
- An essay, poem, or video responding to one of the five application prompts
